Dom Perignon (1999) is the prestige cuvee of the giant Moet et Chandon Champagne house. The initial notes of fresh almonds and grapefruit gradually lead into cashew nuts and spices complemented by lightly toasted brioche, with just the slightest undertone of tartness (citrus zest and buds). The wine is full of life, with a fresh nose that dances through a spiral of aromas. With a fullness in the mouth, it is earthy, smoky, pearly complexity rises to the surface.
